About me

My name is Owen Huang from Kaohsiung. I graduated from City University of Hong Kong with a degree in Global Business and I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. During my undergraduate studies, I had the opportunity to study abroad at the University of Minnesota, Mannheim University, and the National University of Singapore, which provided me with living experiences in Asia, Europe, and America.

My recent research projects have focused on business analysis and opportunity exploration in areas such as supply chain, smart manufacturing, international affairs, and politics. Particularly, I have conducted research with a core focus on East Asian regions, including Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, and China. In addition, my Master's research primarily revolves around optimization and mathematical modeling. I also share my research findings on my blog.

In terms of work experience, I have worked in a logistics startup in Hong Kong, primarily in marketing, and I have also worked as a management consultant in Taipei. These roles have given me relevant experience in e-commerce, logistics, bulk commodities, and cosmetics industries. Most of the projects I have been involved in include market research, business development, and supply chain management.
